Benton Backyard Ricketts Glen Wedding | Sam & Mike

Backyard weddings are always some of my favorite weddings of the season, and Sam & Mike’s wedding was certainly one of them! Sam & Mike chose to get married in a very small ceremony with just family and close friends on Sam’s fathers property in Benton, just a few miles from Ricketts Glen State Park, so of course we hopped over to the Falls Trail for some portraits!

Backyard weddings are always so much fun {but a ton of work} and guests always feel relaxed and families tend to love opening their homes to all of their loved ones for the day. If you’re planning a backyard wedding of your own, be sure to plan for potential rain & mud, and as long as you won’t be devastated if your dress gets a little dirty (even a beautiful Exclusively You gown), they are a wonderful way to celebrate!
