Erin & Will | Elegant Pine Barn Inn Wedding

Erin & Will's elegant Pine Barn Inn wedding was a stunning celebration with no details forgotten.  The color palette was refined and hues of purple and pink were tastefully incorporated into the entire day.  The menswear selection of Navy blue really played up the color, which I absolutely loved.  Erin was (I think) the FIRST bride to book me for 2016 so of course she is also one of my favorites, but you also can't help but love her bubbly personality.  My favorite part of Erin & Will's wedding day was the first look (OK, and the deserts, but we'll get to those later).  Erin & Will decided to do a first look when we started working on the timeline.  They knew they wanted to get the majority of their portraits done earlier in their day so we chose to have them see each other for the first time in front of the Pine Barn and headed up to Erin's parent's house for the majority of their portraits and their wedding party portraits!  I always love to watch a first look unfold, and it often evokes more emotion than walking down the aisle (you get to have a minute with just the two of you... it's really so special!).  The rest of the day followed suit, with a beautiful ceremony, three amazing toasts, good food, and so much dancing at Pine Barn.  Congratulations Erin & Will, I'm so honored you chose me to document your day... "Will planned a beach proposal. He took me out for a nice Italian dinner and warned me that he wanted to go for a walk afterward. Upon stepping onto the beach there was a blanket out and it said "Erin will you marry me?" In the sand. He got down on one knee and could barely speak - he's not extroverted like me so I can't imagine how he was feeling! He hired a secret photographer, paparazzi proposals, to catch it all!"

What was the inspiration for your wedding day?

We can't really say what the initial inspiration was. We chose a palette of colors and then worked around making them look elegant but still adding fun elements like our puzzle piece guestbook.

Do you have any advice for couples planning future weddings?

Enjoy the "engagement" ride and don't get too caught up on the little things. We were engaged for two years, so it made for a very laid back planning process (for the most part). :)

What was your favorite part of the day?

Seeing Will for the first time and walking down the aisle with my father.
