Welcome to Langley, Washington! After flying into Seattle for Cassandra & Adam's Whidbey Island wedding, we rented a car and boarded a ferry along the picturesque Pacific Northwest coast of Washington for the short ride to the island. The ferry itself was such a cool experience and definitely a really easy way to travel. On the island we were greeted with the most picturesque little beach town with unique landscapes, farmers markets, and a quaint town with lots of artisan shops and restaurants!

Rehearsal Dinner | Orchard Kitchen Whidbey Island
Next up, rehearsal dinner! One of the things I love to try to do for my destination wedding clients is to document the entire destination wedding experience. Cassandra & Adam chose a really amazing local restaurant and farm that served all locally sourced (and homegrown) courses. The menu was colorful, unique and of course amazingly delicious!
The Wedding Day | Whidbey Wayfarer by Whidbey Island Weddings
The wedding day started out at the AirBnB Cassandra & Adam chose for the wedding week (check it out here), which was the perfect place to start the day! It's location in Clinton, WA is so tranquil, and everyone was relaxed and excited to start the day!
Wayfarer Wedding
Cassandra & Adam chose to do an unplugged ceremony at the Wayfarer situated under a canopy of trees just a few steps away from where dinner was served, family style, at a long farmhouse table draped in eucalyptus and roses. Every decision they made created an intimate and super relaxed environment for all of the guests.
Post Wedding Portraits | Whidbey Island, Washington
I love when I can incorporate a post wedding session into a Destination Wedding experience! It's one of those lovely perks that come along with choosing to book a destination wedding, and whenever possible I like to offer it as an option to my destination wedding clients. Basically, the evening following the wedding I like to give clients the opportunity to shoot a portrait session at a location of their choice. So often we're limited to only the wedding venue on the wedding day, but the area itself might have so many more options to work with as well. For Cassandra & Adam's Whidbey Island destination wedding, we were able to shoot a session after the wedding along the coast, which added so much to their wedding gallery in terms of the classic Pacific Northwest scenes I know they really love, which was part of their reasoning for choosing to host their wedding in Washington.
Cassandra just might be my favorite bride ever - no fear in getting her dress dirty. I love an adventurous bride!
